About Buildworx

Buildworx Constructions specialises in small to medium sized construction projects and is based in Rockdale, in Sydneys's south. We take on projects from all over Sydney, as we are able to offer competitive pricing for a range of projects small or large using our reliable localised and regular sub-contractor base.

We are able to assist our clients from concept to completion or simply take projects at construction stage only. We work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals which we bring together according to client and project needs.

We have specialised Occupational Health and Safety practices and procedures in place to ensure that our sites are safe and secure, and that we have minimal lost time due to injuries which is just another way we ensure the delivery of quality buildings in a timely way.

Key Personnel

Eric Kocak - Managing Director
A founder and Managing Director of Buildworx, Eric holds a degree in Building and Construction Management from the University of NSW and has 20 years of experience in project management . He has worked in a range of construction sectors including medium and high density residential, commercial and industrial, with a mixture of design and construct and construct only contracts. Eric is a licensed builder and has carried his expertise in the construction industry into Buildworx Constructions. Eric is the main project manager for all Buildworx Projects, and oversees the progress of each job to precise detail working closely with our Site Managers and contracts administrator to complete projects on time and to budget.

Stephen Wickham - Contracts Administrator

Stephen holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney. Stephen assists in ensuring we work with the most reliable and cost-effective subcontractors , and manages contracts working closely with our project manager and site manager to achieve coordinated outcomes.

Nicholas Haidar - Graduate Engineer

Paul Merheb - Construction Supervisor
Paul who has over 26 years of industry experience in the management of construction projects for reputable building companies. Paul has successfully built all types of homes, working closely with subcontractors and supervising works on site to ensure the upmost quality in construction and timely progress of the jobs to meet the targets set in our detailed progress reports. Keeping clients informed and happy is a very important part of his role.

We specialise in small to medium scale residential, commercial and public infrastructure projects. The professional and reliable team of companies we work with allows us to deliver projects from concept to construction phases with minimal delay and maximum quality.

All projects are overseen by our Director Eric Kocak who has vast experience in dealing directly with clients, their architects or any project management firm which they may have engaged to coordinate the construction process.

Here are some of the projects Eric has worked on during his 20 years in the construction sector:

  • 44 residential units at Bondi Junction consisting of 2 x 9 storey towers and three level basement. D & C. Lump Sum Contract worth $15M.
  • Mixed commercial and residential development consisting of 40 residential and two commercial units at Kensington consisting of 2 x 6 storey towers and two levels basement. D & C. Lump Sum Contract worth 2.5M.
  • 52 units at Killara consisting of various towers and two level basement. Construct only. Lump Sum Contract worth $16M.
  • Refurbishment of St. Agnes Catholic College. Construct only for Catholic Education Office. Lump Sum Contract worth $4.5M.
  • Completed extension of Liverpool Council. D & C for Liverpool Council worth $5M.
  • Demolition of existing structures and construction of a two storey dwelling with attic, rooftop terrace, swimming pool and front fence at Scarborough Street Monterey - worth $700,000.
  • Alterations and additions to existing single storey dwelling including new detached outbuilding, and carport in Garden Street, Eastlakes - worth $150,000.
  • Range of commercial building projects including Health (Medical Centres & Hospitals), Railway, Clubs, Churches and Schools (Primary, High School, University, Colleges and Tafe)
  • The Construction of three new buildings at Garie Beach Surf Club. Construct only for Dept. of Commerce (for NPWS). Lump Sum contract worth $3.9M. Won 3 x MBA Awards in 2007.
  • Office Fit out at Australian Technology Park. Lump Sum Contract worth $2.5M.
  • C.F.M.E.U Head Office Redevelopment Project. Construction Management worth $7.0M.
  • Blacktown & Mt. Druitt Redevelopment project. D & C Contract for DOC. Lump Sum contract worth $90M.
